Wildlife Tourism Australia and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary are pleased to announce The 3rd Australian Wildlife Tourism Conference to be held on 1-3 September 2010 at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Gold Coast, Queensland.

'Wild Benefits' has been selected as the conference theme to showcase and explore the diversity of positive impacts that are produced by sustainable wildlife tourism. In addition it will also examine and discuss the strategies designed to achieve and maintain them.

Over the course of the three days the conference will present a range of plenary and concurrent sessions, fascinating keynote speakers and insightful and practical workshops.

Keynote Speakers include:
* Steve Parish, wildlife photographer
* Professor Darryl Jones, Griffith University, Qld
* Professor Clem Tisdell, University of Queensland, Qld
* Nick Mooney, Tasmanian conservationist and 2006 Recipient Australian of the Year
* Shane O'Reilly, Tourism Queensland and O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat.

Social events have been designed to not only renew friendships and build new ones, but to showcase some of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary's best assets and local landscapes. The conference dinner will also be a gala fundraising evening for conservation projects with auctions, prizes and raffles.

There will also be space available for trade displays and other commercial marketing opportunities.

We are currently inviting Expressions of Interest in the following areas:
* Sponsorship
* Trade displays
* Pre and post conference field trips
* Donation of Auction items.

The conference will be a major event for the industry and everyone should plan to be there.
