World Challenge Asia-Pacific is currently recruiting Expedition Leaders for challenging one to four week expeditions to one of over fifty 'developing world' destinations in South America, Asia and Africa for secondary school students. The expeditions typically include rewarding community project work, trekking and a cultural adventure. Expeditions are preceded by a powerful 10-18 month team building and skills development program, led by our team of Program Facilitators, designed to challenge the students both physically and mentally, and enable them to learn important life skills and develop as young adults.

Candidates are required to attend a four day Training and Assessment Course, a one day Expedition Preparation Conference and a Parent Information Meeting prior to going on expedition.
The minimum requirements for all WCE Expedition Leaders are: • Hard Skills/Technical Qualifications in trekking/bushwalking/tramping. • Experience leading 5+ day bushwalks/treks. • Experience working or travelling in the developing world. • Wilderness/Remote Area First Aid Qualification or equivalent. • Previous Experience working with youth/appropriate soft skills. • Police/Criminal/Working with Children Screening.
